I eat rice in a tower inside the Adirondack Park in rural central New York State.
When I was a child, my favorite holiday was Christmas. But for most of my life, my favorite holiday is U.S. Independence Day. There is some irony to this. The tradition of 4th of July fireworks simulates the explosion and fire of the Revolution. But New York State prohibits fireworks to its unlicensed citizens. So Independence Day at the tower is much like any other. Merry Christmas.
